      @BuZz

      i may consider including an older scummvm at some point

      Can we take this to mean that the older version would be considered as an alternative installation? I would hate to lose the current and future advancements this software has to offer in favor of alleviating this one issue.

        @mediamogul yeah - it wouldn't be default or anything.

          Ah, fantastic!

          @Dominus, @darkav

          I'm sure that you've both read above about the ability to use xboxdrv to solve this issue. I do recognize that the learning curve for the utility is high and that it's not even always an option. Once I get some spare time to sit down with it, I plan on revising the guide with a simpler approach to it's use that may appeal to more people. However, if you're interested, an example and work-through of this new approach can be found here in the mean time.

            @mediamogul Tnx, I'll try xboxdrv. but I'm using ControlBlock for Controllers and I'm not sure it can be used with it. I will investigate.

              @BuZz Oh yeah I know. I just meant putting the older version back in. Not really sure what you don't get with the new updates, but as long as the games work....

                  'Myst' was indeed a biggie and they are constantly adding support for more games all the time. I've personally played though two Sherlock Holmes games that weren't playable before version 1.8.

                    I had experienced the same issue that most people here already mentioned.
                    I uninstalled the package "scummvm" and installed "scummvm-sdl1" instead. With the sdl1-version the joystick works fine.

                      @chris could you elaborate on that? Where did you find the package scummvm-sdl1?

                          @chris Oh reeeeeeaaally? I'm gonna have to find this sdl1 since scummvm's joystick support has been broken for a long time.

                            @rookervik I'm just reading with interest to install scummvm later (have several other systems to get in place first), but it looks like the scummvm-sdl1 package is built-in to RetroPie-Setup (at least as of 4.3.5) as an alternative "optional" package to scummvm.

                              I'm having an issue with sdl1 games in general. Black screen.
                              So I'm trying the xboxdrv solution. But so far I couldn't make the cursor to move at all when I'm running the xboxdrv. Is there a way to debug this stuff?
