Futura Theme
-
@FlyingTomahawk No need to thank me, you created the beautiful theme lol
-
Another update!
Change log
v1.3.1 - 2017-02-06
- Updated Kodi screenshots (Special thanks to sketch2k278)
- Added Psikyo theme files
- minor fix in futura.xml (all theme versions)
This one is a bit special since it is not really a system. I love the Psikyo shoot em up games so I created a theme for it.
I also replaced the Kodi screenshots with the images provided by sketch2k278 so special thanks to him.
And just a minor fix again inside the futura.xml files.Enjoy!

@FlyingTomahawk Is this available via the RetroPie ES theme installer?
-
Unfortunately no. At least not yet.
-
@FlyingTomahawk Ah that's a shame. I take it a pull-request is waiting to be merged?
-
Pull request? Not that I know of. I'm all new to this github stuff so not sure how things work. I managed to upload and update files on my github and that's it.
You can install the theme if you look a post #18 and #19 of this topic.
That is how I have the theme currently installed on my RPi. I can then access the files via network connection on my PC and transfer/update files. -
Apologies @herb_fargus it's been so long since I did this for my theme, but does @FlyingTomahawk need to submit a pull-request (and if so, to which repo) in order to get this theme installable via RetroPie?
-
What a great Theme, thank you for your hard work.
Wonderfull -
Questions:
- Any plan to add more systems (like scummvm, dos,...), or are you finished with systems?
- Have you an template to create the left, center and right screens? Is it possible to upload, when you have it?
-
Thank you for choosing my theme and thank you for the kind words in your previous post.
I personally am finished with adding new systems but if someone has a request to add certain new systems I can certainly do that.
Tell me exactly what you would like to have and I see if I can get it done as soon as possible. You should have a folder called _screenshot layouts there inside you should have the psd files for the screenshots.
-
Great, i found the layouts, thanks again.
For me personaly scummvm and pc (dos) were great.
Now im looking to integrate the "favorites", because im not only on retropie ;-)When you have not the time for creating the systems, no problem, i can look and create myself.
Im really happy with this Incredibly beautiful theme, thank you again for share. -
@sunnyseed
Have you fixed your Problem with the "favorite"?@FlyingTomahawk
I have done the ScummVM system (first step for me was in german).
Would you have it when i made an english translate (or you translate it)? -
Thank you. I take it as it is.
Deutsch ist kein Problem für mich.
You can either share a download link here or you can find my email address inside the futura.xml file. -
Super, dann lasse ich die Infos so stehen :)
here is the link
futura 20px scummvm
Tell me, when something is wrong, i cant test the system here at the moment.
When inside the folder something like "._" you can delete them. Its because im on Mac OS XThe MS-Dos system i have finished, but i made fault, emulationstation is loading and loading and loading and didnt start. When its corrected i send you the link.
-
Link to PC (MS-Dos) for testing.
On portable Emulationstation on Windows it seems ok.
I cant test on Retropie for now. -
Thank you for your efforts. I will download both tonight and test them on Windows and RPi.
-
No problem.
Its only fair if i can give something back.
I hope it is good enough :)For users with "favorites"...
I have done this also.
A little modification in the futura.xml is needed. But you must decide. I love to see this theme also on other systems. (i hope it is allow to write this)
-
If you don't mind I would like to have a look at your futura.xml file.
If you like my theme wait until you see the Newgen theme by ruckage. I based this on his theme which was never released...but he is back and will hopefully continue where he left off. -
Ah yes, i know the Newgen Theme. I take a look for this theme long time ago.
Dont laugh when you look into the xml file :-)
I have done the "for me simplest way" (example, the positions).
It is not my finished Version, i think i finished up the next days. Here you can see the not finished version:
EDIT: Deleted the Screenshots
-
Interesting....that favorites stuff is this in the Kids EmulationStation version?
And I see that you use numbers like 100.58, are you using those to hide them?
If yes, then you might want to use<pos>1 1</pos> <size>0.01 0.01</size>
...but that is up to you.
You said should use this in other systems? What systems do you mean?
