I just got the RaspberryPI3-MODB-1GB, 16GB Raspberry SC Card, Case, power supply ...

When I plugged the SC card into Windows7 PC card reader is has preloaded Raspian.
Properties show 91.2 MB free of 1.08 GB. Is this because the PC can't see the entire SC card contents? Instructions show to use Win32DiskImager-0.9.5-install to install retropie-4.1-rpi_rp3.img (2.0GB size) onto the SD card. I just want to make sure that I don't overwrite the SD card. Do you copy image to root of SD Card? Will it show up on PC explorer?

If youre looking to install Retropie then you need to wipe the card. If you use a formatting tool to wipe the entire SD then install the Retropie image using the disk imager, you'll be fine.

Just follow the instructions for first install from the wiki dude.

Retropie in a Saturn Controller - Pi Zero, GPIO controls using DB9 driver

Here is the section on writing the image to an SD card via windows: https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/First-Installation#installation

Grab Win32DiskImager and it's really easy to do. It's not drag and drop like most things in the windows world are, it's more like burning data to a CD/DVD in that you need a program to "burn" (really just writing raw data) the image to the SD card.
