Pixel Theme
-
@retronesguy Yeah, that's all it typically does. Easiest method.
-
@rookervik then I would just leave it that way, without the spacing so more games are listed.
-
@quackwalks said in Pixel Theme:
@rookervik In my opinion it's more important to show a good number of games per page than having them match the background. On my 1080p TV, towards the bottom, the list becomes unaligned with the background anyway. But hey, I'm just one user.
I agree with this, I like the spacing before the update. Anyways keep up the hard work rook :)
-
Ok Pixel Metadata is live. Go grab it. I think I got the font spacing the same as the old Pixel Metadata. Doesn't look as good lining up but hey, I don't use this :P
-
@rookervik Thanks man. I love the pixel theme. Both the normal and meta version work really well on my CRT. Even in 240p mode.
-
@mrjordaaany Got Pixel TFT somewhere. Good for 320x240 screens :D
-
@rookervik I just updated and the Pixel-Metadata theme looks exactly the same as Pixel, meaning there's no meta data. Whoops!
-
@rookervik Yeah I enjoy that theme too but still like the layout of regular pixel and meta :D
Cheers
-
@rookervik Hmmm unless I m mistaken, pixel metadata looks the same as pixel now. As in, no meta data is being displayed anymore :( I just ran the update.
-
@mrjordaaany Mmm, happy birthday! Hahaha I was going to ask if videos were working but looks like there are other things to worry about. Haha.
-
@mrjordaaany What 'layout' are you talking about? The system select screen? Otherwise there are no changes that have been made. I've been wanting that ugly white bar gone for years. LOL.
-
@rookervik yeah so when you enter a system to select a game all the meta data for each game doesn't display. It looks the same as the registration pixel theme. The extra boxes that would display meta data see gone.
-
@mrjordaaany Oh, yeah, that's not how it's supposed to look. Haha. There are some strange tags in the XML that I don't recall adding so I am going to have to go clean them out. I'm trying to find a way to do it without having to open each file and delete them individually.
-
Ok, Pixel Metadata theme's github is screwed up. When I upload the xml gets corrupted and causes conflicts. Sooooo, do I delete the repo and then re-make it?
Edit: muriani helped me fix it. I was copying over an old .git folder and making the site freak out.
Try updating and see if metadata re-appears
-
@rookervik Sure does. All the meta data is back :) It's the new system layout too. However in game lists the little grey box that shows which game you have selected currently is missing.
Not sure if that was meant to be a feature of this theme like the pixel theme.
Cheers!
-
@mrjordaaany Grey box... I don't recall a grey box. Each system had it's own colored selection-bar. Unless you're comparing it to the new pixel update where the selection-bar has a little grey box next to it?
If so, I had to remove the little grey box because I was asked to make the text smaller (like it used to be) and the grey box looked ridiculous next to all the small text.
-
@rookervik Yup I was referring to that, and yup all good then. Was just wondering. Thanks for the great updates to your theme man :)
-
@Rookervik
I noticed that in the pixel-metadata retropie and ports menus had the metadata sections added (they weren't there in the previous versions) so I changed them back using some old versions of pixel-metadata with the following code: https://pastebin.com/cfpNQeGVThanks
-
@madmodder123 Ah, good catch. I'll try to fix that as soon as I can. Probably Saturday. I work today on Black Friday.
-
@Rookervik noticed on some systems when the snaps launch the video playback screen is just a bit smaller then the box art, the left and right edges you can see the box art. Happens with N64 and SNES.
