Xbox one bluetooth support? And/or rewriting usb drivers.

I am looking to write a new bluetooth driver for the Xbox one controller, or write my own version of the existing usb driver.
This would be for a school project, and I am looking for any instruction in the right direction, especially for the code for existing drivers, so I can learn more. (I do not intend to claim them as my own work, my professor said it would be one of the best places to learn more about how they work.)
