I recently received a ControlBlock and it came pre-soldered but I have an issue, the pins from the GPIO header prevent me from attaching any wires to the 2nd player controls as seen in this photo. I just cant fit a wire between the pins and the control attacment points with any reasnable degree of success.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Do I need these pins or can I cut them off to access the control attachments?

I'm confused about your question - the pins you highlight are from the rpi are they not? If you can't access the player 2 controls to connect the cables, can't you just remove the ControlBlock whilst you connect them, and then put it back on top of the rpi??

@fid no those are the pins from the black header soldered onto the control block, they do connect to the gpio pins but removing the control block doesn't do anything.

@thrillho87 I checked on mine, and you're correct - the pins are to enable the addition of another controlblock to enable 4 player (i was thinking of controlblock v1)

I found it quite easy to slot the wires between the pins for player 2, and in fact they almost acted as a guide for the wiring

@thrillho87 I had no issues passing wire through the pins.
