OK the first hurdle is how to I create a subfolder? Only allows me to insert a file.

@Graboid create a dumb file and name it directoryname/filename.extension, and the dir directoryname will be created. After adding your files you can delete filename.extension.

I tried, not sure what I did wrong, but no folder in the Space Invaders!

GBA generic overlay and GBA Game & Watch Gallery 4 uploaded to Repo.

I think I got these 2 overlays installed but I'm not sure how you make the video smaller to fit in the frame. Here's what I see:

@backstander Sorry, for some reason I messed up the cfg files. Viewport settings were missing!
Updated the files in the repo; please try now.

Related to GBA there's also a custom logo for Emulation Station available.

Hey guys,

I'm working on the script right now and I'm facing problems with the clones .zip.cfg. So, for now multiple .zip.cfg files in the same directory is not allowed (otherwise they confuse the script).

I hope to release an improved script before wednesday.

I've made some Pull Requests in the repo, can you take a look there?

Finally implemented the very handy "Update" feature. Then, when @UDb23 add files to the repo, the update procedure will get them! (Thanks to @Brigane for pointing this necessity)

I've also made a ToDo list for the script in the repo issue tracker: https://github.com/UDb23/rpie-ovl/issues/14

Maybe we can use that as a script feature request.

Well, I was holding back myself from asking you to do an overlay for Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. :-)

It's one of the most played by kids (and grownups too) when visiting my home.

I tried using this process for the first time tonight and it didn't work for me. As a test, I tried to add 1941 and I get, "Failed to install overlay for these games: 1941".

I have mame games in Arcade folder and mame-libretro folder and neither location allowed me to install the overlays using this script.

@HurricaneFan please, delete your local repository and clone it again in order to get the new changes in the script and repository structure.

Try again and let me know if you find any issue.

FYI: the 1941 problem was due the clone .zip.cfg file (1941j.zip.cfg). This file was removed now.

@meleu Still failing with same error. I see all of the folders of stuff on my computer but its failing to do anything with them.

Currently not. But you can help me with this debug, launch the script this way:

bash -x rpie-ovl.sh 2> log.txt

And try to install the 1941 overlay.

Then paste the log.txt in http://codepad.org/ (select the "Plain Text" at the left of text box). It could be pastebin or something, but I'm behind a restrictive proxy...

It's not looking in the arcade folder for 1941 folder contents.
