NeoGeo games that aren't fighters, platformers or shmumps?
-
I know what SNK and Playmore did for a living. Any recommendations for a good NeoGeo game that is "none of the above". P.s. yes, I know how
google.com
works. I just keep seeing the same games mentioned all the time. -
@AlexMurphy Super Side Kicks (c'mon! We love soccer here in Brazil! :-) )
-
I love platformers, but Neo Geo also had some good puzzle and sports games
Magical Drop II
Magical Drop III
Neo Bomberman
Panic Bomber
Puzzle Bobble
Puzzle Bobble 2
Puzzle de Pon
Puzzled2020 Super Baseball
Baseball Stars 2
Football Frenzy
Goal! Goal! Goal!
Neo Turf Masters
Riding Hero -
Viewpoint
Blazing star
Pulstar
Twinkle star sprites
Last resort
Aerofighters 2 -
@obsidianspider Neo TurfMasters is a classic. I have it and play it loads. Probably the best arcade golf around. And I hate golf. It's just a good game! Yeah, SNK did some good sport games too. I just think it was an amazing system, maybe because I couldn't afford one when I was 12. Btw I would have sold a kidney to own one!

@FlyingTomahawk BlazingStar is the shmup of shmups! BONUS! BONUS! BONUS! BONU...
-
I didn't sell my organs but I had one when I was young. As an only child my mother spoiled me.
I remember she paying 350 CHF for World Heroes 2 and around $1000 for the console with 2 arcade sticks. At the end I owned, Art of fighting, Fatal Fury, Robot Army, World Heroes 2 and Viewpoint. Crazy if I think back now, what a terrible child I must have been to put such a big financial burden to my mother.
Sold the Neogeo and all my stuff to my best friend for 200 bucks at the end.
My best friend, still today, owns the complete Japanese Neogeo game collection. Very rare stuff, so valuable to him that he got that stuff insured just in case. -
@FlyingTomahawk $200?!
my head esplode
-
@FlyingTomahawk Cool. Nothing wrong with being spoiled! I was spoiled too, but within my parents limits... a Sega MasterSystem plus lots of games and a 14 inch CRT. This was 1987. I made no pretence that it was a "computer" for school It was for games Ma!
-
Yeah, crazy!
@AlexMurphy
Shit, I couldn't see the complete topic title (mobile phone), you said no fighting and no shmups.
And here I go posting a list of shmups titles. -
Hahaha... good excuse!
Similar start here. NES with Castlevania Simons Quest and a 15 inch Sony TV. Good ol times, miss them very much. :-( -
@FlyingTomahawk
What a horrible night to have a curse. -
Nightmare in the dark plays kinda like bubble bobble. Its got a cool horror vibe-kinda like darkdtalkers
-
@FlyingTomahawk That's the point, mate. My kid is 9 and he loves a bit of Last Blade or co- op in Streets of Rage 2 or Caddys and Dinos... His first question is always "Can I hit you in this?" Then I show him up!
