@celly said in Retro game stuff talk:
Sadly, it didn’t come with any games.
At least you can give us all our horoscopes ;)
-
@obsidianspider like i said man, its all about that settings game. I got the high score on Select Launguage. You’re Winner!
-
@celly Just scored a couple more games myself today. SNK vs Capcom Match of the Millennium and both SNK card fighters games.
My Match Millennium is Japanse. But it turns out alot of their games supported dual language. So its much cheaper to buy some of the Japanese games, rather than the English counter parts:

@mrjordaaany nice! Yeah I’ve been playing (emulating) the NGP/C games for a while. Its a fun little system. I actually just bought a Neo Geo Flash Masta flash cart from RetroModding. Can’t wait!
-
Just got myself a Vectrex :)
-
@ruckage That thing is MINT! Wow!
-
@obsidianspider @ruckage Seriously, that thing looks immaculate.

Yeah, it's great condition - I'm really pleased with it. There is a small mark/dent on the top which the seller disclosed but to be honest if he hadn't mentioned it I never would have noticed. The extra controller is also slightly scratched on the bottom as the rubber feet had worn away but nothing major and I've put new feet on it now. Also the scramble overlay has some warping in the middle - I'm currently trying to decide whether to attempt to fix it with the use of heat or leave it as it is (I could make it worse).Sadly nothing was boxed but that does make the condition even more impressive - It was obviously well looked after.
-
Please for gods sakes don't put a Pi in it and don't even think of creating a Vectrex theme. :-D
You not only got a Vectrex you also got a bunch of games with it. Very nice!
That is a collectors item right there. -
Damn, too late - I've already ripped the insides out and forced a 28inch monitor into it - just required a bit of cutting and gluing of the case to get it all to fit :P .
-
@ruckage just, wow. That thing looks great. Even got the overlays. Very nice!
-
@ruckage I hate you so much right now. ;)

Mail came when i was out of town. Got my Neo Pocket Flash Masta cart from RetroModding and i couldn’t be happier.
-
@celly retromodding is a freaking awesome site. Waiting for my gba ez-flash and rechargeable battery pack to show up for my ags-101 screen modded original gameboy advance. Already got a custom shell, buttons and glass screen protector too. Wanna do the gba amp mod next.
-
@edmaul69 yeah they’re a good shop. Great customer service too.
Your GBA mod looks slick. Nice touch with the black silicone start/select buttons too. -
@celly
The Neo Geo pocket looks great - I always wanted one of those (especially the blue camo version) but the games are really expensive in the UK. I hadn't thought about there being a flashcart for it which would solve that issue. The Wonderswan is another system I like the look of , I wonder if there is a flashcart for that as well?@edmaul69
Excellent looking GBA. I have an old original GBA in the loft - It's not in the best condition as I bought it second hand and I'm very tempted to mod it after seeing yours. Where did you get the AGS-101 screen from and was it difficult to do?
The EZ-flash IV is great, I have one that I use on my tribal GBA-SP (sadly not ags-101) and also my DS lite. It's a shame they took away GBA support on the DSI as I have a DSI XL and the screen on that would be great for playing GBA games. -
I bought a Neo Geo Pocket Color when it came out. It was the blue camo version. I bought SNK vs Capcom Card Fighters (Capcom Edition) and Sonic the Hedgehog. Never bought another game for it.
Lost a lot of gaming stuff years ago and those were among the lost.
I also had a
Game.com
handheld that was lost. :( -
@ruckage I actually removed the ags-101 screen from the gba itself. However retromodding and ebay sell the screens. Then you need an adapter cable. There is a 32 pin and 40 pin depending on what board version your gba is. There are 2 ags-101 screens. One with a brown ribbon cable end and one with a white ribbon cable end. The aftermarket screens are the white ones. If you have to use a 40 pin connector it is designed for brown end screen. However the white one works by removing two resistors and 2 capacitors on the gba’s motherboard. I can help you with all that info. Thats what i did on mine. My buddies was the 32 pin cable so that modification wasn’t necessary.

@ruckage same guys who make the Neo Pocket Flash Masta make a Wonderswan verison which appears to be much better. A dozen game slots and an actual gui menu.
Currently out of stock but, keep your on it if you’re interested.
