You should try alien trilogy for psx -
Playing this week?
Doom2 wads (Zdoom)
Final fantasy VII PSX
Heretic (Zdoom)
Hexen (Zdoom)
Alien trilogy (PSX)Thinking about installing
Brutal Wolfenstein (Zdoom)
And doom 64 (N64}
To play this week also -
Galaxy II - also known as Astro Wars in the UK. A classic table top from the early 80s....
-
I've been playing Final Fantasy(NES) for the first time and have rapidly realized how much we take for granted in modern RPGs. The fact that if an enemy is defeated in a battle that your party doesn't automatically re-target, or that you can buy items that your party member can't use are points of frustration, but I'm glad I'm playing it.

@lilbud said in What games are you playing this week? 2017-08-14:
@meleu Ducktales is hard
Oh c'mon, it's not that hard once you memorize the mechanics of the enemies...
I've just beated Duck Tales in the Difficult mode. The next step is to try to get the "crazy" cheevos, such as "reach the boss without pogoing", "... without defeating any foe", "... without taking any treasure", "uncover all treasures on a stage"...
-
Oblivion on the 360.
-
@meleu No, the game is somewhat easy. The timelimit is the worst. I got to the moon level and time ran out. So I just beat the remaster instead.
-
@retrofreak89
Alien resurrection on psx is alot more grown up than your doom or quake shooters it was a bit ahead of it's time.Descent... ahh good memories.. play the pc version please.
first full 3d textured maps and enemies with animated models and amazing freedom.
Many get motion sick from descent.. i see it as the ultimate vertigo simulator.. love it. -
Just bought 'Sonic Mania', and I now have the biggest grin on my face :D . If you're a retro game fan (fairly sure you all are ;) ) and particularly if you are a retro Sonic fan you owe it to yourself to get this game. The only puzzling thing is why it took Sega so long to realise that it's the old sonic that everyone loves....
-
@ruckage I need to get Sonic Mania, unfortunately, I only have a PC and have to wait a week.
-
@lilbud
I saw it was delayed on pc, not too long to wait though and i'm sure you'll love it. I have read there are some bugs in it at the moment so perhaps they will use that extra week to make sure it runs perfectly on pc on release day. -
We should totally all post more screen shots.
is there a easy way to take shots?
-
I'm jamming out on Blaster Master Zero on 3DS. I don't often play modern games, but i had to play this one! It's fantastic
Also waiting on the PC version of Sonic Mania, i hope my hand me down black box is up to the spec to run it. Why they aren't releasing it on Mac is beyond me.
-
Other than Puzzle Bobble for the MAME ROW, not playing anything else.
I'm writing this on the pi itself cause my computer decided to be a piece of shit and break. So i'm using the pi as a main PC until Windows installs.
-
@lilbud
Ahhh that sucks...
Hopefully you get a new machine soon. -
@xeon I'd love to get a new machine, but I can't. I'm just trying to fix my PC before anything gets lost.
And now my phone is taking a shit too, my life has evolved into the, "this is fine" dog meme.
-
@lilbud did you know this glitch on the Moon stage? I didn't:
-
@meleu If you do that you dont get to play the whole moon stage... whats the fun in that?
-
@capeman I used it to get the Bad Ending cheevo. By the way, did you know that Duck Tales has a bad ending? I didn't.
edit: oh yes. I enjoyed to play the whole moon stage to get the normal good ending. :)
edit 2: screenshot of the bad ending.
-
I've just got all cheevos for Duck Tales (NES). I think I'll go to Duck Tales 2.
