@retrofreak89 I too had this issue with Sega CD and PSX. After some trial and error with the emulator(s) and various file formats, I narrowed it down to my storage device. If you can, upgrade to a faster UHS-1 class 10 sd card or better. Especially for cd based games. This solved it for me.

      Currently Playing: Tetris (Gameboy)

See if disabling vibration in the RetroArch menu (Quick Settings) helps. There's a known bug with vibration on some bluetooth controllers, so disabling it will help.

In my case my Dualshock3 Controller (Sixaxis Model without rumble) HAS to be wired to avoid Hickups while playing fast 3D Games.
Games like Diablo and SotN run even wireless but with fast 3D graphics the Bluetooth connection stutters as described above.

@sirhenrythe5th did you try to disable rumble? Also did you set the controller with sixad driver or did you connect it like other bt devices?

That sounds very much like the rumble issue over Bluetooth - even if your controller doesn't have it.

Definitely disable vibration in the quick settings RetroArch menu.
