2 Xin Mo boards (4 players) - player order
-
Hi all,
First off - GIANT TY to this community. The wealth of knowledge you share and support you provide is awesome.
I recently decided to relive some of my youth and build a quasi game controller pedestal. Decided if I'm gonna do it, might as well make it for 4 and add a roller ball for good measure.
Anyway, fast forward a month, cabinet/pedestal is built, retropie running great, nice clean set of 100 mame type roms running etc etc. All good but I cheated. I only wired one xin mo board and 2 controllers. (Track ball is Happ 3" and USB so no brainer).
I'm about to add player 3 and 4.
Can anyone tell me the order I should expect these to be recognized?
i.e.
device 1 - p0 = player 1
device 1 - p1 =player 2
device 2 - p0=player 3
device 2 - p1=player 4
OR
device 1 - p0 = player 1
device 1 - p1 =player 3
device 2 - p0=player 2
device 2 - p1=player 4
OR
etcThanks in advance!

In case anyone in the future needs this...
The first example I provided turned out to be the answer.
device 1 - p0 = player 1
device 1 - p1 =player 2
device 2 - p0=player 3
device 2 - p1=player 4 -
@tommeesawyer I know this is pretty old thread... I’m about to try 2 xin mo for 4 players plus a ultimatc trackball. Did you have any issues assigning 4 players in emulation station controller setup? All working good with mame and 4 player console games? (ex. Mario kart 64)
Hopin for some insight with this option rather than single player zero delay controllers taking up all 4 USB ports...
