      @ruckage I'm looking forward to the US SNES theme! It will go great with the new Tinytendo case that just came out. Will it be available on this thread, or are you going to make a separate thread for it?

          Thanks. I'll probably start a new topic when I have more to show but I'll post in here to let everyone know - it's coming along nicely.

            I already began work and posted pics of both a Super Famicom and US SNES Classic based theme 2 days ago.......

            Here's the US style SNES classic theme. I had to have the system logos at the top in this version as space at the bottom was limited so some logos wouldn't fit. The backdrop is just a placeholder at the moment (it shows the SFC/EU style snes), I'll redraw it so that it features the US style SNES.

            This took longer than I thought but after many hours of work I can show some previews of the Super Famicom/Snes Classic theme. It may change before I release it but this gives you an idea of how it will look. I based it on what screenshots I could get from youtube videos, it's not an exact copy but as with the nes mini theme that isn't my intention. I've adapted it to suit a base resolution of 480x270 (this scales evenly to 1080p) and have adjusted the border art to fit the existing logos I've made for the nes mini theme. I'm working on the US SNES border now so will post previews of that next.

                      @ruckage Hey. Says Moscow.
                      Please do not think that I'm trying to take your merit. It's just that I'm currently interested in retropie and pixel graphics, and all I do is look at it as a pleasant pastime, not a way to make money on it.
                      And about my thread about the modification of your theme - I was clearly stated there that I'm not going to spread the link without your consent. I did not even expect that you would agree to this. But it could have been done differently - to release the modification (PSX-MINI) in co-authorship. I could send you the source code for this theme to come out in your name, but with an indication of my participation.
                      I do not know why, but you just ignored that thread, and my request to answer. So let everything remain as it is.

                      Aloha from Russia, and sorry for my bad English. ¯\(ツ)/¯

                        @frgn
                        It's nothing personal and while I appreciate you have put time and effort into making your mod I have made my feelings clear regarding modifications/contributions to my themes both in the readme included with the themes and numerous times in this thread and it gets a bit tiresome repeating the same responses over and over (here's a link to a post @TMNTturtlguy made ;) ).

                        While I'm flattered that you and so many other people have been inspired by this theme and want to contribute in various ways my position for the time being remains the same, that I wish to work on it alone. I hope you understand.

                        You are of course free to modify it as you wish for personal use.

                        Since you're obviously interested in theme making have you considered making your own theme from scratch? It can seem a daunting task but it really isn't all that difficult once you get started (it's easier than ever with some of the recent additions to ES such as default themes and variable support). And if you get stuck you can always ask for help in the forum and there are lots of people, including myself, who can help.

                          @ruckage Composite display resolutions are fixed to 720x576 PAL and 720x480 NTSC. So even if the display is 320x240 composite will yield resolution based on the mode PAL/NTSC. A DPI screen showing exact 320x240 will not have a problem but if using the same screen with composite pcb will cause scaling and hence theme will be disrupted.

                              I installed the latest version of this lovely theme on a Pi Zero I purchased pre-configured. However all I got were a white background and black text. I also noticed errors mentioning something about "selectorheight". Anyway I installed an older version (May 21st) and everything shows up fine!

                              I'm guessing I need to update RetroPie? That selectorheight error makes me think it's not supported on the version of Retropie I have installed. Am I right please? Thank you.

                                @ruckage Yes, when running on PAL [720x576] and resolution 320x240 in layout.xml the elements go out of bounds.

                                Since the theme doesnt support these two resolutions for PAL and NTSC , will you provide support for these resolutions at a later stage?

                                  320x240 isn't intended for pal or ntsc. There is a specific NTSC layout option though:

                                  In the layout file change the resolution line to the following:

                                  <!-- Choose your resolution -->
                                  	<include>./layouts/ntsc.xml</include>

                                  There is currently no pal option as I assumed most people would use ntsc for 60fps support. I can add a pal option as well though if needed.

                                    You don't need to update retropie but you do need to update to the latest version of Emulation station in order to use the latest version of these themes.

                                      @ruckage Thanks for pointing that out. Yes PAL support would be great. Since PAL gives a bigger frame down sampling produces better result. I can live with 50fps as there is not much difference for retro games but that bigger frame produces noticeable difference

                                        I'll add it for the next release. I personally couldn't go back to 50fps for retro games as they feel too slow now (even though it's what I grew up with I was always jealous that NTSC regions ran at 60fps). It's actually quite a big difference as ntsc games would run 20% faster.
