      Hey devs I was thinking. Would it be possible to have support for a tag called "lock" which if enabled prevents editing of metadata from ES (except last played and num played). Sometimes games which have all MD scrapped with custom tags get overwritten. This could prevent that.

        @hex Are you scraping again to cause the gamelist to get overwritten?

          Yea when I add new games I usually scrap again to get the latest info and data from GamesDB

            @hex as a immediate solution I suggest the use of the sselph scraper from command line with the -append option. It means "If the gamelist file already exists, skip files that are already listed and only append new files."

            Maybe adding this option in the RetroPie-Setup's frontend of sselph scraper can be enough. What do you think?

              @meleu I can wait. I would rather see it incorporated in the ES than specific to a single scrapper.

                I don't think this is needed in ES. Sselphs scraper frontend has append option included btw.
