64GB SD Card not fully recognized by RetroPie?
-
Hello guys,
I have an 64GB SD Card but it only display about 30GB on RetroPie. I wiped all the partition on my SD Card before writing the img in it.
Any solutions?

@malixx Question. What did you use to wipe the card and are you using a windows or linux based PC?
-
@glennlake I'm on Windows 7 and I also used Windows to wipe the partition.

@malixx Sorry for the delay, I was AFK for dinner. Windows can't see all the partitions on the SD card as they are formatted in linux. There is a program called "SD Formatter that will work with windows 7 thru 10 and it will wipe all from the card. Do a google search and it should come up as the first hit. I use linux most of the time but I still have a window 7 machine for some financial programs.

@glennlake Thank your for your answers, I tried what you said but it didn't worked. :( Maybe I know why though, I made a save .img of my previous RetroPie setup from my 32GB SD Card and so maybe when I write it on my 64GB SD Card its partitions are the same as the 32GB SD Card. But I don't wanna to redo all the configurations I have made... I'm stuck.

@malixx if you had included the requested information on the read me first page as requested your question would be answered by now.
Expand your filesystem through raspi-config.

@herb_fargus I did read the read me first page, but I forgot what SD Card I used because I don't have it anymore, I just remembered today, but thanks it worked.

@malixx said in 64GB SD Card not fully recognized by RetroPie?:
I did read the read me first page
It's not the reading of it. It's the providing details about your setup.
You said "I downloaded the img" how was anyone supposed to know it was a backup image? Then you get all sorts of guesses that don't address your real question.
Next time please provide all the information requested and you'll get the correct answer much quicker

@herb_fargus Thanks herb. I just jumped into it. I forget about expanding the file system now that raspbian takes over and does it on install.
