What have I done to my themes??

I am currently using the TronkyFran theme, and everything looks normal (see below):

Main Menu

However, whenever i switch to ANY other theme, I get this:

Any Other Theme (except Carbon)

Does anyone have any idea what I have done? I did copy the es_systems.cfg file, so that I could edit the order my systems are displayed. As far as I remember, that is the only change that I have made to any files.

I've also updated Retropie to the latest version. I've tried restarting both Emulationstation and the entire system. None of this worked.

Also, I am using the Kids Mode version of Emulationstation.

You probably didnt mess up your es_systems.cfg. If that file had any syntax errors, Emulationstation wouldn't even start.

Are you sure you didnt make any changes to your theme? Try pressing start and switching to a different theme and see if the others work. If so, go into the retropie setup, delete tronkyfran and reinstall the theme and see if it works fresh.

@Capeman Sorry if my post isn't clear. TronkyFran and Carbon are both working fine. However, when i try to install any other themes, I get what is in the second picture above. Specifically, I am trying to install the nes-mini theme. I have deleted and reinstalled that theme about 100 times!

OK. I figured it out. I had to update Emulationstation from source, so that I could get the latest version. Once I did that, the themes started working.
