The x68000 reportedly has different refresh modes, 55.45Hz and 61.46Hz.
When representing these refresh modes on a 60hz display, 1st mode has stutters in the scrolling, 2nd has sound issues. This is not a fault of retropie or the emulator, but the mismatch in emulated framerate and actual video refresh rate.

The solution would be to set the screenmode of the display to match the refresh rate of the emulator as the game starts up in retropie. There is some info here about setting up custom hdmi refresh rates in raspbian, and I'm pretty sure my monitor can handle these off-spec refresh rates. Is it possible to set up these custom screenmodes in raspbian and have the options show up in the retropie game launching menu?
Can someone in the know give a few pointers as to how I might try to set this up?
