Scraper worked fine till yesterday when I upgraded to 4.2.20 and updated my Linux packages using the Retropie utilities. When I run the scraper in the Emulation station it just comes back with nothing found....the following pic is from running the cmd line utility.

It worked before I ran the update...but not now.

      Any advice would be welcomed.

        Seems related to this issue.

        https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/12813/have-my-pie-set-up-and-then-n64-cant-back-out-and-then-stephen-selph-scraper-only-does-half

Could it just be a server issue?

Yeah I have the same Problem with the Stephen Selph Scraper. I have done 3 RaspPie's and the one I make for myself I get issues. :D I am planning on trying it again today. It did scrape my files, just not FBA and sega Gen, on those I got the same line of code you did.

@jet_olson it may be something on the gamedb side of things. Having the same issue on an older version of retro pie that once worked.

I am also having the same issue which started a few days ago. I thought I messed up something after installing my pi3 into a NESPi Case. I wiped the SD card and started over with the scraper still not working. The Emulation scraper doesn't find anything.
I get this error: "1v10: GamesDBRequest - Error parsing XML Start-end tags mismatch". It shows up in the upper left of the screen when I quit Emulation Station. sselph works for the most part. It doesn't scrape Neo Geo and Arcade games. It's also not as easy to use since I have to exit Emulation Station and there is no option for individual game scrapes.

Ok, I seemed to have my Arcade games scraped...What was interesting was that I had to play with the default utility settings.

I logged into the pi via SSH (you could do this local as well) and ran the following to start the utility...

                sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh

                Selected option for Configuration/Tools...

                Selected 828 Scraper...

Made sure of the following settings...

                arcade source (MameDB)
                console source (thegamesdb)
                gamelist (Overwrite)

This worked for all my Mame Based games...

It is still not working for my Genesis, NES etc....on those I am getting a hashing error. Stay tuned.....

The http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/ changed their API and notified me today. Changed Players from being a string to a number. I've updated my code so it should work now.

Thanks Stephen...yeah that was the default and I am assuming what the UI scraper uses by default? I will try it today and let you know after updating.

I am still having the same problem with the built-in-EmulationStation scraper.

As TheGameDB.net guys state in their FB page on September 8:
                      "Hey guys and girls,
                      Happy Friday! :D
There'll be a small amount of disruption to the service shortly while be perform an
upgrade of some of the equipment in our server rack. It shouldn't take long and we'll
post an update once we've completed the works."

Their site is back on but the API is still facing some difficulties.
