Converting an arcade stick to all in one retropie

Hi all

Been playing around with my raspberry pi and got most everything working (having a few mame issues but got some games going)

Already learned loads and have loved messing around and loading the retropie and building the sd card and what not.

Now however I want to try and convert a 360 wireless fight stick for the pie, but I need some hand holding! I am dreadful at manual stuff, the reason I am using the stick is because it doesn't work. I got it off ebay and the guy had installed sanwa buttons, however they were really poorly soldered and so didn't always respond, I tried to have a go and made things worse...

I know there is loads out there, but can people help me get started with what I might need to order or consider, I ain't great at following guides (going to play my dyslexic card here!) I currently have the 1st rasp pie but considering ordering the latest model just to have a go with the wireless stuff on it.
