How can I boot to the Emulator GUI instead of Connect Controller screen?

I have one RaspberryPi V3 and 2 versions of Retropie on two SD cards. A 16GB SD running Retropie 4.2 and a 64GB SD running 4.3.
Both run fine, both use the same official PlayStation controllers via blutooth.
The Retropie 4.2 boots right to the emulator GUI which is nice because I have background music playing on the menu screens. It boots right to the emulator even if my PS3 controller is disconnected (off).
The Retropie 4.3 boots to the connect controller prompt. When I turn on the PS3 controller it connects and moves to the emulator screen.
How can I get my Retropie to boot right to the emulators screen? I don't recall doing anything special to get my Retropie 4.2 to do this. Is there a setting or command I need to enter?
