      Spent a while trying to get BG1 and BG 2 working under the GemRB emulator. I copied all the data files over to the location specified in the Wiki here- https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/GemRB

      which states to put them in /home/pi/RetroPie/ports/baldurs1 (and "baldurs2") respectively. After hours of frustration not getting the game to load from ES (just blank screen then back to ES menu); I looked at the /opt/retropie/configs/BaldursGate1/GemRB.cfg file and noticed the following...

      GamePath=/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/baldurs1/
      CD1=/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/baldurs1/

      Note the paths in the config file is different than what the Wiki says- data files should be in the .../roms/ports folder. I moved the BG1 and BG2 data to these new folders and they now work.

      Please update the Wiki to the right locations.

        Why don't you fix it ? :)

          I did try to, but received an error (a 404 when I hit "edit" on the page), so I posted. Have never edited a Wiki, so maybe I'm doing it wrong.

          Update- I think I know what's wrong. I'll try again shortly.

          Thanks.

                @cowboyscott
                Hi,

                Will it be possible to get a short "How to" having BG1 running on retropie ? The wiki is really to weak.
                Example : Do I need to install myself gemRB on the retropie ? What is the shell script that I have to use to run the game from the Ports menu ?

                Thanks in advance for your help.

                Zakhounet
