      Hi to all,
      my system:
      Pi Model 3
      RetroPie Version 4.3
Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website

When I start Outrunners on lr-mame2003 I obtain a little screen on upper left .
With the "TAB" key I'm able to switch from screen #1 to screen#2 and screen both but I'm not able to abtain a screen#1 at full screen.
      Thank you

It was a dual screen cab for a head to head race. It doesn't play well with mame2003. The sound is awful and the screens can't be adjusted. I have tried.
Use the same ROM but in advanceMame 0.94. It runs well but you will have to configure the controls manually via the TAB menu.

          Thank You Jonny,
I've tested the game with the AdvanceMame 0.94 and works great!
Now I've only a strange problem:
With the joy left the car go to right and with the joy right the car go to left...
I've also inverted the controls with the tab menu but nothig change...
If I change left-right controls using button instead of the joy lever all works.
Do you have any idea why?

Thank you for making me discover Advancemame!

@manuel78 AdvanceMame is great. It's a good discovery.
Unfortunately I have no idea why your controls are messed up. It works fine using my USB controllers. Something must be off on your USB encoder. Not something I have used so I can't give any guidance, sorry.

I also tried outrunners on AdvanceMame 0.94 and with the actual AdvanceMame 3.5.
Well, it did run - but was way to slow, stuttering like hell.
Does it run perfect on your Setups?
If so i will try it again - great game ☺

@sirhenrythe5th I have it running on AdvMame 0.94. It runs perfectly.
Launch the game and hit TAB to go into the menu. Choose video and set vsync to no it might cause some screen tearing but it should stop the slowdown.

How do I run it on AdvMame with just a single screen though? I find that rendering the two screens at once may be what causes the lag.

                        @pjft Dip switch settings.

EDIT: In 0.94 only. 1.4 and 3.5 display both screens at once and run slow.

@jonnykesh ah, I see. I was about to ask about dip switches on 3.5. Then is there an easy way to reuse the control setup from 3.5 in 0.94?

are you getting graphical glitches on the map screen using AdvM 0.94 ?

A veteran MAME developer is currently 'backporting' functionality from later MAMEs to MAME 2003. If it works in 0.94, it might be worth posting a request in the MAME 2003 github to see if the fix can be brought back from there to MAME 2003.
