Hello, after updating to 4.2.16 I noticed that I cannot run anymore Mario Adventure, the Super Mario Bros. 3 hack. I tried all three emulators (fceumm, nestopia and quicknes) and I also tried re-patching both the Super Mario Bros. 3 (PRG 0) U.nes and Super Mario Bros. 3 (PRG 1) U.nes roms, without any luck.
    Any advice?

Is there anything in the logging?

If tetris has thought me anything, it's that errors pile up and that accomplishments dissappear.

You're using the wrong rom, you need to use (Super Mario Bros. 3 (USA) (Rev A))

          Systems: Raspberry Pi 2
          Overclocked: 1050 | 525 | 350 | 425 | 256
My Themes: Metro Theme | Simpler Turtlepi | Future Mini

@omnija I think I am using the right rom, since the readme of the ips patch states you should use either the (PRG 0) or the (PRG 1) rom.
In addition the patched rom was working before the update, and it is still working on other emulators (i. e., Fceux 2.2.2 on GCW-Zero, Nestopia 1.4.1 on Mac).
I think there is a specific problem with the RetroPie emulators.

@zigurana I will take a look at the log this evening when I get back home. Now I can tell you the emulator starts showing a black screen with a very fast music in the background, and just sits there without accepting any input.

Ok I solved it. It turned out that the problem was with the srm file, removing it fixed the issue.

I have the exact same problem and I can not fix it. This may be a really noob question but how do you delete the srm file?

@retropienoob I just went into the rom directory with

                        cd /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/nes/

and deleted the srm file, something like

                        rm Mario_Adventure.srm

depending on the actual rom name.

@saccublenda I'm having the same problem. I Deleted Mario_Adventure.srm but still the game doesn't start only the black screen and the music playing. I'm running retropie 4.3 in a raspberry pi 3b.
                          Any ideas for solving this?

@robotechvfx I'm sorry, deleting the srm file solved the problem for me. I suggest you to double check that you deleted the actual srm file that your Mario Adventure rom is using, that is, the one with the exact same name.
