So aside from the D pad, the NES controller has four buttons. A, B, Select and Start. I've run through the controller setup and got it all working, except for one minor drawback. I can't exit out of the games once I'm in them. I was wondering how others have got around this? Is it possible to configure a key combo? Such as pressing Select and Start to exit back to menu?

@haemogoblin Yes, it works exactly like that by default for libretro emulators Select and Start exits to the menu. To begin, you should read this https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first and provide info on your setup quickly followed by https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/First-Installation#configure-controllers which explains everything you are asking.
