      I originally selected smoothing, then I switched back to just using shaders. But some games still look smoothed. I think its only the ones in the favorites wheel. I clearly disabled smoothing, what should i do. I'm using a bartop arcade cab
      thanks

      Edit
      I am running retroarch under retropie on the raspberry pi. I just bought This in a bartop arcade cab.

        This reveals absolutely nothing. You must realise that your request for help is impossible. You do not even say what hardware you are running. You refer to a wheel so maybe this refers to attract mode. No point in guessing any further, please post the information requested below that you agreed to do when you signed up.

          I suspect that the "Favorites" piece may be a red herring. My hypothesis is that you have "Save on Exit" set to "true" on one (or all) of your systems or games, and that one of the games you open from the favorite list (or the system for those games) has the "smoothing effect" set to true, as well as "save on exit", which causes it to overwrite the settings which will then reflect itself in the subsequent games.

          Would that be a possibility?

            I am running retroarch under retropie on the raspberry pi. I just bought This in a bartop arcade cab. The wheel is attract mode, which i guess is a function of retropie? Anyway, let me know what other info I'm missing

              @pjft
              Is there perhaps a way to reset the settings?
              I mean, I'll look for those options. Maybe i can simply uninstall the smoothing effect.

                @strauss48 This post might help:

                https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/2199/specific-retroarch-emulator-settings-are-being-over-written-after-i-quit-the-game

                I thought you were referring to the ES Favorites, I don't know much about Attract Mode, but I still suspect the cause is the same.

                  If you didn't set the image up yourself, it's impossible to offers support, see point five in the link I suggested you read, it says "Make sure you are using an official image, or have done a manual install yourself. We will not support 3rd party images." this is because we have no clue about it's setup. Also, it's illegal to sell retropie because it is free.

                  If you did set it up yourself, you need to post the information that is requested in
                  https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first to prevent further guesswork like I asked before.

                  The best place for support is direct from the seller if you didn't set it up yourself or the Attract Mode forums.

                    Not exactly. It's illegal to sell the retropie image because many pieces of the software have non commercial clauses in their licences (see legal page https://retropie.org.uk/about/legal/) I generally consider it a crime against humanity when people spend money on things that are meant to be free. Also just a generally low move to take other people's work, package it up and sell it for your own profit and then send buyers to the person you stole it from for support.

                      It's not genocide or deliberately targeting civilians in war... but it's a morally and ethically shitty thing to do.

                        now I have a bigger problem. I selected an overlay... just to test it out.. then i turned overlays off..... but now that overlay is stuck on some games. Ive tried rebooting etc.
                        I tried switching to emulationstation , but its the same there too..

                          @strauss48 I think i fixed it.. Each emulator had their own settings.
