Slash Screen Help!
-
@jonnykesh If you mean the splash screen video then i have no idea. It doesnt say anywhere, checked the properties of the file and used vlc to check and it doesnt give a res.
-
I have changed the resolution of the video to 800 x 480 as that was the screen resolution and its fixed being able to see emulation station in the background. The only problem i have now is that the splash screen still starts late ?
Isnt the splashscreen meant to hide all of the boot text at the start ? -
-
The text has been removed now, thank you. Do you have any idea why my Splash screen takes so long to start tho ?
-
@dirtydond because the Pi has to boot and initialise services and programs before it can play the splash video.
No video player running = no video. -
Makes sense yeah, thanks for the Help !
-
@dirtydond the Pi will boot more quickly if you turn off
wait for network on boot
This can be done by runningsudo raspi-config
then chooseadvanced options
boot options
-
@jonnykesh When i go into the advanced settings there is no option to disable this feature. I will look around for this in some other settings.
-
It's actually in "boot options" of raspi-config.
-
Yes, i found this. Thanks for the reply tho !
-
@jonnykesh If you disable this option
wait for network on boot
, will it eventually connect to the network? -
@hiulit Yes it will. It just won't halt the rest of the boot process waiting for a network connection.
-
@jonnykesh Nice! I'll try it then, thanks!
