Need help configuring controls for each emulator
-
I'm only using the main stream emulators, Sony, Nintendo and Sega but while using my wired 360 controller (xboxdrv driver) the buttons are all over the place for example with psx rearmed triangle is where the square button would normally be and x is where circle would be.
Is there an easy way to configure the controls for each emulator, preferably with a graphic interface. I'm quite new to Linux and eager to get it all up and running -
@yusuo configure your controller according to the diagram: https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/First-Installation#configurations

@herb_fargus thanks for the heads up, but I was curious if there's a way to edit them individually so I can make final fantasy behave like the Japan ROM and configure controls with the n64

If you are running libretro/RetroArch emulators (which is the case for PlayStation, NES, SNES, MegaDrive, and others), the answer is yes! :D
Use the "Controls" option at the "Quick Menu".Here is the steps:
- Start a game for the system you want to configure (for example a NES game).
- Press Select+X (Select+triangle in a PlayStation-like controller), this starts the RGUI.
- Go to
Quick Menu
->Controls
. - Configure the buttons as you like.
- After configure, select the
Save Core Remap File
. This will save the config for this specific system.
5.1. If you want to save a config for just one game, open the respective game, follow the steps 1-4, and then selectSave Game Remap File
. - Select another game for another system (for example, PlayStation) and repeat these steps.
