How to Control Retropie Volume using a Sliding Potentiometer? Help
-
Hey guys,
I bought a sliding Potentiometer from Ebay to make the volume slide work in the Genesis USB Hub Case....https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sega-Genesis-USB-Hub-Nerd-Block-Good-for-Raspberry-Pi-BRAND-NEW/272900416878?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
Does anyone have a way to connect the sliding Potentiometer to GPIO pins to control the volume of RetroPie?
I have searched quite a while on Google with no luck.....any help is appreciated :)
Thank You

@pipesfranco Here's a possible example - https://gist.github.com/savetheclocktower/9b5f67c20f6c04e65ed88f2e594d43c1 - on what needs to be done on the RPI side, once you get the GPIO pins connected.
For the hardware connection part - what pins to connect and how - I'm not that knowledgeable, but if you post the exact model of your potentiometer someone with more experience might have some suggestions. -
@mitu This is the exact slider i bought https://www.ebay.com/itm/1K-Ohm-Slide-Potentiometer-Pot-18mm-Pack-of-2/382238703800?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
It needs to be small to fit in the case!
