Can't quit Emulation Station

Hi Everyone,
My Emulation Station Menu is messed up and I can't read anything. I need to exit to the terminal and try to reinstall it. My problem is I can't see the menus so I can't quit Emulation Station. Is there a way to force the Pi to boot to terminal or to stop Emulation Station from automatically loading? Right now I cannot get to the terminal at all because the Pi goes straight to Emulation Station. Thanks for you help!

USB Devices: keyboard
Controller: Buffalo gamepad
Emulator: Emulation Station 2.73 -
Plug in a keyboard and press f4
