I remember someone had a similar problem - see if this will fix the error:

@funimation does Ethernet make any difference?

@mitu thanks for the suggestion . After trying to set it up manually, it stops here.

Not quite sure what to type from here on .

After plugging it into the ethernet it did not work. However I tried manually and am stuck. See above picture.

@funimation The files in /opt/retropie/supplementary/golang seem empty. Delete that folder and then use the setup script to re-install the golang package, then try installing the scraper package.

@funimation Would I delete these from the config script, or within retropie setup?

@funimation You'd delete them from the command line - either log in via SSH on the device, or exit EmulationStation. Then execute

                        cd /opt/retropie/supplementary/
                        sudo rm -fr golang

After the folder is deleted, start Emulationstation (type emulationstation at the command prompt), go to the RetroPie setup script and re-install the golang package, then try again to install and run the Scraper.

@mitu it seems to have worked somewhat. I am currently stuck at “getting sources for ‘scraper’ : Scraper for Emulation Station by Steven Selph”

It hasn’t moved for about 20 minutes . Maybe I’ll wait an hour or so and if nothing has happened I’ll retry.
Sorry for all the posts ! Hopefully it is good now. It is connected to Ethernet. Maybe I’ll also try WiFi
