Xbox 360 Wireless Controller issue
-
I'm trying to set up the Xbox 360 Wireless controller with a third party PC receiver claimed to work with Retropie by the supplier.
However, it seems very unstable and it's hard to know what's wrong.
I've managed to pair one controller with the receiver = It's assigned as controller #1, the other one either also gets assigned #1, or continue to flash or gets dark.
The controller that gets assigned is never recognized by the Configure Input, while the one that continues to flash is recognized as Xbox Contoller, but the keys can't get assigned. When I exit input configuration, the lights get dark.
It's hopeless to troubleshoot, the retropie setup switches number of controllers back to 2, if I switch to 1 etc.
I'm running 3.8.1 on Raspberry PI 3. Do you have any clues? I've never been editing confit files, I've only worked with the GUI menus.
Thank you for your support!

are you using xboxdrv or the built in kernel driver ?
Did you search the forum ? eg

So, fresh install seems to fix the problem? Mine was actually a 3.7 -> 3.8 -> 3.8.1 upgrade path. I'll try it tonight.
