Ken Griffey Jr SNSES Issues

I first did a search for Ken Griffey and found the chatter and possible fix for the names issue, so I'll try that if need be.
The main issue I'm having is when the game loads, I can play a single game, but I cannot start a season. The game crashes.
I'm expecting the issue to be with the rom, so I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction of what the best rom is for this game.
Currently, I have raspberry pi 2 with RetroPie 4.3

@mtascavage The forum rules prohibit any kind of ROM sharing, links to other ROM sites or anything similar, so I'm not sure you'll get a link to a ROM here, but perhaps other people have stumbled on your problem and might provide advice.
What system and emulator are you using ? What's the checksum of the ROM ? -
@mtascavage There is an issue in Ken Griffey Jr on RetroPie in that it requires a

@mitu I understand. I had seen someone post the rom version, so I was more looking for information and then I'll figure out how to find it.
It's the default snes emulator on the retropie 4.3 image. I'll try to get the exact name and the checksum
