      If it's unsafe to supply GPIO pins with 5v. Then how safe is the nespi?. It powers the pi thru GPIO

        @jac_nine I'm unclear on what you mean by safe, but I have two of them and I've never had any issues supplying power on the GPIO pins. Just make sure you don't put the connector on backwards.

          What I mean is that it's unsafe to run 5v to GPIO pins without some sort of fuse to stop spikes. If you get a power spike the board is fried.

            @jac_nine I have heard that by using the GPIO pins you bypass the polyfuses. If that concerns you then you may want to avoid it. I don't consider it much of a risk though because it's a $35 board, I have a good PSU, and it's plugged into a surge protector.

              10-4. Just just curious about others thoughts on the subject. The stock power port is protected, the gpio are not. Just an observation more or less
