force_turbo switch

Hello,
why isn't set force_turbo=1 by default?

@linuxpaul why would it be? 1. This is not a RetroPie setting. 2. It voids the warranty on the Pi. Not a big deal but worth noting. 3. Why force the CPU to run at full tilt when it's not needed? You will most likely get issues with heat.

Ok, the question was not exact, sorry, I ment the settings of the retropie raspi image.
In my opinion, force_turbo is not a overclocking switch, ist sets the clock fix to the default (or specified) frequency. (For overclocking you need to change the default freq manually)
So you won't loose the warranty in this case or damage anything, you'll got a more stable and faster environment, because the raspi ramp down its frequency automatically like a green feature but the frequency switching costs alot of ticks. (checked with cyclic test)

@linuxpaul it is not our practise to modify system settings. We leave that to the competent (or incompetent) user to mess up ;)
