Emulationstation will not detect bluetooth controller so that I can set up input.
-
I have successfully paired my Ouya bluetooth controller to the Raspberry Pi and I am able to use it to navigate the menus in the Raspi-Config and Retropie Setup. However I have been unable to get emulationstation to detect the controller when I go to configure input. I followed the wiki bluetooth controllers guide and ran into this problem. Also the guide said to make sure you have the latest firmware, but I have not found firmware for my controller, and I don't know if that is my problem or not.
PS: I am new to linux and the raspberry pi and I'm not sure how to add tags to my post
Hardware:
Raspberry Pi B3
Built in WiFi for internet connection
Built in Bluetooth for blue tooth connection
Ouya Controller
Logitech K400 Wireless keyboard(Which works fine) -
Hey, @kered !
Did you get this resolved?
Been trying to get ES to detect a beboncool bt controller, but no dice.
I know this is an old post, so hope it's still active.
Cheers! -
After you fellows get the controller paired, try using jstest to see if all inputs are being detected.

I am experiencing the same Issue, I have paired my bluetooth controllers. I can see them in the /etc/udev/input directory. They respond properly when I use jstest on them as suggested. I then start Emulation Station, and they are not detected.
How does Emulation Station go about detecting controllers. Is there a way to manually configure the controllers in Emulation station ?
Help would be appreciated on this, I have restarted my retropie install from scratch twice, with no change, not too sure what to try next.
