Latest Release Breaks Ability to Configure Cores in RetroArch Menu and Keep Settings.
-
I used to be able to go into an emulator, hold down the combo buttons to bring up the Retroarch menu, then make a few changes, set it to save per core, then exit and be able to come back and the settings would still be there.
For example, the Sony PSX Emu needs the ability to swap disks. Before I could assign buttons for that and my settings would stick. Now I have to redo them each and every time! :/

@XD3l
This is a common subject here. And it's a source of a lot of confusions.
Unfortunately the majority of the forum users don't use tags and/or the search tool...I had this problem before and discussed (and solved) it on this thread:
https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/208/solved-what-retroarch-cfg-should-be-writableBe prepared to get confused when using the "save config on exit". The wiki and forum are here to help you when it happens! :-)

Thanks, I'll look into the link.
For the note, I've NEVER had this problem before.

Neither do I. Maybe we setted the "Save Config On Exit" as one of the first things in the past! :-)

It's fixed now. I manually edited the primary config file to save per core, etc. And now each core loads and saves with the proper setting again!
hurray!

I'm afraid you fixed it doing something else. Because the "configuration per core" doesn't mean much on RetroPie...
But if it's working now, why worry about it?! :D
