@il-spicy-li https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. Please describe everything you did, how you wrote the image and with what, your power supply, everything that is asked for.

5.1v/2.5a Micro usb power supply
win32diskimager
i folowed the github first installation guide (https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/First-Installation)
hit install all cores from binary
install error occurred (don't rember the exact error)
hit delete all cores
restarted my pi
and then the error occured
re flashed sd card twice and still no fix -
What brand sd card are you using? Some are finicky!

@il-spicy-li based on the original error you done borked your autostart. You can reset it to boot to ES from the setup script. Provided you didn't mangle the core pieces of retropie whilst deleting things.

thanks

how do i do that ? (im very new to all of this )

@il-spicy-li If you're just getting started, then re-install from a fresh image. You don't need to install something after 1st installation from image, the core emulators are already part of the image and you can start playing right away - after you copy your ROMs.
What you can do is after a fresh install is to update all installed packages - from binary. -
thanks that seems to have fixed my issues
