Could anyone please explain me this? https://twitter.com/libretro/status/945473269007777792/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc^tfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.libretro.com%2F
What does it mean to someone who uses RetroPie on Pi3 and would like to run some Win95/98 games on it?

No, it means RetroArch will be able to run on Windows 98/95, as it's shown in the screenshot.

@mitu that's amazing and sad at the same time. thanks for clarifying this for me
-
@spiky Why is that sad ?
-
@mitu I just though I could finally run some of my favourite Win95 games on Pi3 thanks to this
-
@spiky Have you tried to see if those games have a DOS version, they might work in Dosbox, which is supported by RetroPie - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/PC/.
-
@mitu yes I did, I actually spent a lot of time with RetroPie and DosBox, but many games of my childhood are Windows only. Of course I can play them on my PC with some compatibility tweaks, but having them on RetroPie together with other older games would have been better. Maybe next time ;)

I would not give up: you can install the Pixel desktop and use WINE. Don't forget that behind emulationstation you have a linux machine so games such as Micropolis (SimCity 1) , OpenXCom (Xcom), OpenRA (C&C) work
