      hi all,

my pi stats are as follows:

      Pi Model: 3 Model B
      RetroPie Version Used: 3.7
      Built From: SD Image
      USB Devices connected: Keyboard dongle
      Controller used: PS3 (Blue-toothed)
Error messages received: White Screen of Death
      Guide used: https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/themes
      File: N/A
      Emulator: N/A
      Attachment of config files: N/A

So my problem is i decided to change my theme in ES and got the white screen of death, ive logged into the pi via ssh and tried the solution wiki gives = /home/pi/.emulationstation/es_settings.cfg but i get permission denied, ive also tried to log in as root and same applies.

Any help would be cool i dont want to start from scratch again.

        This may help:
        https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/themes#white-screen-of-death

If you want to edit that file try "sudo nano" in front of the filename.

Please read the Docs before asking a new question.

You can ftp into the pi with a program like winscp, go to the file location posted above and open the file, change the name of theme to carbon and save then reboot.

(Why such a rush? do you have better things to do?)

Did you add a lot of new ROMs (with metadata/images) ? If so, try and remove some to see if that allows you to get back into the system.
If that solves the issue, you are sure that it really is some sort of memory-limit that is bothering you.

If not, then there might be something else going on, although I highly doubt it.

If tetris has thought me anything, it's that errors pile up and that accomplishments dissappear.
