      Is it possible to keep snes and super famicom cames in seperate folders (unlike the preconfigured genesis folder) but have them linked as they are on so it would load all the roms from both folders?

        @vodkanakas If both folders have the same games, then why show an extra system in the menu ?

          @mitu The snes has all the us releases and superfamicom has all the fan translated japanese games. i want to keep them seperate but play via same system. so it would only be 1 system but 2 rom folders.

            So in RetroPie/ES you want the games to show up in the same folder? Or keep them in 2 separate folders, but open with the same emulator?

              @vodkanakas You said

              so I assumed you'll have the same games in the both folders. To add a separate folder and system, look in the https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Add-a-New-System-in-EmulationStation/ documentation.
              The example in the doc page replicates the nes system, but you'll need to create a system which is similar to the snes system, so at step 3.1 make sure you base your new config folder on the snes emulator.

                @keigan I want them all to show up under snes system but have seperate directories.

                I've tried adding both directories to es_systems.cfg but it didn't work. I'm just trying to keep the translated seperate from the us but play them from same menu. It may just have to be a folder inside of the snes rom but I thought that looked tacky. Also tried adding a system which worked but can't find/make a logo that I'm happy with lol.

                  Hey,

                  maybe take a look at this if you haven't figured it out yet

                  https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/EmulationStation#platformscfg-edits

                  Inside the platform.cfg you could add this

                  sfc_theme="snes"
                  sfc_platform="snes"

                  or whatever the proper

                  <platform>

                  and

                  <theme>

                  are.

                  I'm not at home, so don't have access to my Retropie to test, but thought it may work for what you need.
