problem with gamepad

Hi.
I have a Raspberry 2 B and i have installed last version of retropie. Retropie detect my Gamepad and i can configure It, and select on the menu, but when i am going to play a Game my Gamepad doesn't work. Sorry for my english i am from Spain. -
