    I have built a custom Retropie 'Pigrrl zero' and am using GPIO18 for sound, which I understand is typically used to control screen brightness. But if I let my pigrrl idle, after a few mins, I notice that the screen dims, which is fantastic. That also lets me believe that there has got to be a way to achieve a toggle between different brightness settings. I'm hoping to get to a script that can allow the user to assign an unused GPIO pin to a button that could toggle through like 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100% brightness. Can anyone help point me in the right direction on where I could start looking into achieving this?

      @chadmon10 don't quote me on this but I think you can use hotkeys to change the brightness. I'll look into it.

        Raspiboy does this through hardware but it's a bit of a hack, been trying to figure out something similar myself, interested to see what you come up with
