I'm loving my bartop. I setup it up with a 2 player layout using a i-pac2. Most arcade games I play with mame 2003. I've been able to succesfully setup independent button lay outs for most all games and it works great.

What is driving me nuts is that games like Pacman, Ms Pacman, and Frogger all use the 1st player joystick to operate player 1 and 2, so that players have to share it. I've checked the mappings by pressing TAB it does reflect player 2 is setup for the 2nd joystick but some how still only works with joystick 1.

My Google attempts have not helped and I'm hoping someone here can. Thank you in advance.

@newellj79 The original games only had a single joystick so a second set of controls is not supported.

Thank you. I thought that might be the answer but was hoping otherwise...

@newellj79 The emulator copies the behaviour of the original game, so when it's player 2's turn they just hop on to the single joystick.
You could try mapping both controllers to player 1 with the MAME TAB menu as it allows for multiple inputs. So up could be joystick0>up, joystick1>up and keyboard>up. And then saving for that specific game. Obviously this means player 2 will be able to interfere with player 1's controls (if it indeed works).
