@livefastcyyoung I tried starting it several times but just couldn't.

Losing my granddad knocked me so far on my ass I haven't felt right since. But whoever finishes the game picks the next months game plus the cheevos challenge. If no one wins, or if multiple people finishes the game will each put in a suggestion which I will pick out of a hat...or Strawpoll, whichever is better.

        hey guys remember me?
        no?
        okay that's fine.

        Anyways, WOOO! Super Mario RPG!
I finally got a working SNES so hopefully i'll try to find a physical copy of the game. The retro store I went to said it costed about 60 bucks for just the cartridge, and 100 for the game with a manual! Holy crap!
I'd also use an SNES Flash Cart, but some don't support this game (it's also sorta costly). I might have to scour on eBay to find some deals.

@itsnitro cough cough SNES Classic Edition

They seem to be actually accessable suggesting Nintendo got their heads out of their asses and figured to put out more than 20.

@itsnitro if you can find one in a store, they're $70 bucks.

Does that mean I get to pick February’s game?

@livefastcyyoung Yes, so pick whatever game you want. Here's some guidelines: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/13230/retropie-gotm-rules/1

I'm too lazy to retype them :)

I'm picking Metroid for NES for February. With it being a shorter month, I didn't want to go back to back with the RPGs.

I've also personally never beaten Metroid so this will be a fun one for me. It's available on the NES Classic too so most everyone can join.

For Achievement of the Month, let's go with It's a Girl! (Complete the game in under 5 hours.) If anyone has a suggestion for a different achievement for the Achievement of the Month, please suggest it. I've never beaten it so I have no idea if 5 hours is too easy or too hard.

If you want to make the thread lilbud, please go ahead. You've got all the formatting under control. :)

@livefastcyyoung I'll handle the thread and art tomorrow seeing as I got a half day.

I will also not be participating this month considering I already beat Metroid in its superior GBA form. Not going back to the original cause the port has a whole lot of quality improvements such as saving.
