      I once heard you could play gamecube games from the raspberry pi. I am not sure, though, that they were talking about the retropie OS. do you guys know if it is possible?

          The Raspberry Pi isn't currently powerful enough to run the Dolphin emulator in any of it's configurations. It's a great emulator though and well worth checking out on a faster machine. It even runs Wii titles with the ability to use Wiimotes and Gamecube controllers natively with zero input lag.

          Edit: @herb_fargus ...Streaming Dolphin gameplay through Moonlight. Very cool.

            @mediamogul I'd love to have this running on some future Raspberry Pi, but I don't think it'll be any time soon... Resident Evil 4 is guaranteed many hours of my attention if the day ever arrives

              Resident Evil 4 is fantastic. I'm actually cheating on my Wii with the Raspberry Pi. I have it configured as an emulation machine too. It's still fantastic for it's native titles, as well as retro light gun games. I guess both have their strengths and weaknesses though. I just try my best not to call out one's name while I'm playing the other.

                @mediamogul ha! brilliant!
                I really must try and find a first-generation Wii, specifically to mod and play the 'lightgun' version of RE4 on

                  I could be wrong, but I don't think a gen-1 is required anymore. It certainly was when I set up mine and it took a bit of searching to find one, but I can't help but think I read somewhere that the model-specific limitation was no longer an issue.
