ZX Spectrum help!!

Hi peeps,
I’m new to the forum and to the retropie experience which I am absolutely loving....
I have some issues with the ZX Spectrum emulator that some games will load some won’t
I’m desperate to play the football manager but when I run it it just flashes and goes to the load screen

What am I doing wrong hahaha.
Do I need to install something else or even update something

Hi @hardy1812

This could be for any number of reasons. Most likely the ROM you have is corrupt. What game are you trying to play (there were lots of Football Managers for the Speccy through the years) and what format is it (.sna, .z80, .tap)?

Also can you give some more info on your setup, complete the details requested from the read this first post linked at the top of the forum pages.

@hardy1812 I believe this is because the spectrum emulator is set to 128k by default. Football Manager does not run under 128k, it needs to be set to 48k.

However, in order to help we need to know which emulator you are running. You should also search the forum because there are a few posts about this issue, but involving Jetpac and lr-fuse - here is one

Hi thanks for the reply. I’m a bit of a newbie to this. But I think it is ir-fuse or something like that and as for the rom it’s a zip file thing. Will I need to un-zip it to see the file format. As for anything else I’ve no idea lol.
