      Hey guys! I am pretty new to the whole Raspberry Pi idea, I just ordered a Raspberry Pi 1 B for 15.50 from eBay, and I wanted to build a cheap arcade cabinet, and wondered if the latest version of RetroPi will work on it. Thank you!

        The pi 1b will work but it doesn’t have much performance. A pi3 will walk circles around the 1b

          @thereretrobros No, it will run terribly. Return it and get a Pi 3. I understand it is more money but you will have a better time.
          If you can't afford it at the minute then save up. It will actually save you money in the long term.

            @thereretrobros you will run 8bit stuff like NES, SMS and Game Gear just fine. Perhaps Mega Drive acceptably. SNES is going to struggle. Forget Neo Geo and most MAME games.
