I am looking for a longer Usb encoder to button cable (like this item, but longer, say 30-35cm) https://www.ebay.com/itm/10Pcs-Push-Button-Connection-Cable-For-Arcade-Game-NEW-FREE-SHIPPING-SET-LOT/222799542864?epid=4009923163&hash=item33dfe33a50:g:lloAAOSw8i9aXvNp

does anyone know where i can find them? I need a lot more wire (cant get the encoder close enough) for the cabinet layout i want.
      thanks guys/gals

Not sure if these are the exact ones you're looking for (the connectors can be 2.8mm or 4.8mm depending on the joystick/buttons) but ask them:

The term to describe the white end is "molex" or some other formulation like "molex style"

I hope that helps in your search.

could it be easier to take a longer usb cable for the encoder and place the encoder closer to the CP?

the usb cable to the Pi is not the issue... is that my cabinets have their buttons where they should be, but i want to move the USB encoder behind the screen where I am mounting my PI/display board etc. that way I can clean up the clutter under the buttons where the encoder currently lives. I make my cabinets out of clear acrylic, so it will go a long way towards tidying that up.
                  thanks
