performance comparision for retropie and single board computers ?

hi @ all.
are there any informations or reports available how well (or worse) retropie runs at an odroid xu4 in comparision to a raspberry pi 3 B.
for example: is such an odroid really faster @ n64 emulation (mupen) ?then: a year ago the asus tinker board was mentioned here... but I didn't find any news about a retropie version for that device. is somebody still working on such a retropie port ?

That's why I asked. there is still a guide on how to install 1st the required linux version and 2nd retropie at an odroid xu4, but I can't find any informations about how it'll perform at that type of hardware.

Hey, I'm one of the people that has both a Pi 3 and an Odroid XU4. Yes, the Odroid really is faster for N64 emulation.
A little explanation here first though. So, it's very possible to go ahead and run through the installation manually on Ubuntu as shown on the Wiki, however I would actually say it's preferable to use the ORA team image. I found that the 4.x kernel on Odroid isn't anywhere near as stable and I was having problems sometimes even just booting up whereas the ORA team premade image, based on kernel 3.x, is much more stable. There was also a lot of work done on the image for giving people what they felt were the best options by default and individual emulator configuration tweaks that give you a better out of the box experience on an Odroid XU4.
The first version of that image is out now but further updated images will have more N64 emulator cores included and further fixes. The main goal of the group behind the image is to try to get Odroid XU4 officially supported with official prebuilt images, something that I'm sure Buzz is already far too busy to deal with right now. The image released contains no ROMs and is a good starting point.
The big issue with the Odroid XU4 is that there's far less official support for it. This means that while yes, you get better performance for the mainstream stuff, there's a lot of Raspberry Pi specific things that can't be done on an Odroid. For instance, Drastic has a beta binary available from the original creator but there isn't one available for the Odroid. But in some cases, you may be able to make up for that lack of support simply through other options that would be too slow on the Pi being fast enough on an Odroid.
My advice to you is to do your research. Look into the various gaming options on Odroid, check out Youtube videos showing off performance and make a decision about what is more important to you.
I'm considering streaming from my Odroid XU4 exactly for these reasons, to help people see what performance is right now and to help them make a choice.
