Retroarch 1.7.1

Retroarch 1.7.1 was recently released, has anyone given it a try to see if it works, unlike 1.7.0?

Retroarch 1.7.0 works, if it doesn't for you i doubt Retroarch 1.7.1 will work either.

@barbudreadmon Retropie currently it's using the Retroarch 1.6.9: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/blob/master/scriptmodules/emulators/retroarch.sh
There was some issues with related with 1.7.0: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/15530/retroarch-1-7-0-error/
-
Yup, had the same issue, on 1.6.9 now too.
-
@lodan-zark @mat That has been fixed (https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/pull/5983), so the 1.7.1 version should not have this problem.
-
@lodan-zark Got 1.7.0 version working on my rpi3 for a few weeks now, i didn't know retropie had this issue.
-
@barbudreadmon @mat I edited this file
/home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/scriptmodules/emulators/retroarch.sh
right in the 40th line , and replacegitPullOrClone "$md_build" https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch.git v1.6.9
togitPullOrClone "$md_build" https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch.git v1.7.1
and still have the same error presented in this topic: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/15530/retroarch-1-7-0-error/ -
@lodan-zark you can manually remove the reference to the hotkey hack but I don't think retroarch has addressed the issue the hack attempted to fix.
-
@lodan-zark if you are unable to adjust the patches, wait until we update to the new version (which will happen after testing).
You don't need to post on our github every time a new retroarch is out - we actively follow libretro releases. I would also ask you use the forum first before opening tickets also - I have asked you this more than once before.
-
Has the testing finished so it can be available to update on RP? :)
